What is Conscious Alignment™?
Conscious Alignment is a bodywork approach that draws inspiration from various disciplines, including Rolfing Structural Integration, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, and Core Process Psychotherapy. It provides clients with a holistic framework where all aspects of their being can be therapeutically addressed.
The primary goal of this approach is to realign the body within the force of gravity, enhance body-mind awareness, and promote more efficient movement and body use. This not only results in improved alignment and posture but also fosters greater harmony and coherence in our lives. The term “conscious” in Conscious Alignment underscores the significance of the client’s intentional engagement with the process to achieve lasting and meaningful results.
A body that lacks proper alignment indicates an inefficient relationship with gravity, as illustrated by the figure on the left in the photo. When out of alignment with gravity, the body often experiences unnecessary tension and tightness, frequently leading to chronic pain and fatigue.
Various factors contribute to misalignment, including chronic postural habits, repetitive stress injuries, aging, accidents, surgeries, childbirth, emotional wounds, and traumatic life events. These experiences can manifest physically as misalignment. Regardless of the root cause, the process of realigning the body proves highly effective in introducing greater harmony into our lives, as a more balanced body naturally radiates harmony into all other facets of our existence.
In this practice, the practitioner employs only their hands and elbows for physical touch, working directly with the body. Over a series of sessions, clients can expect significant improvements in their posture and a profound increase in their awareness of the mind-body connection. They will also acquire valuable knowledge on how to efficiently utilize their body in various positions, including standing, sitting, and walking.
What does Conscious Alignment work with?
Conscious Alignment employs the body as a gateway to the entirety of an individual’s being. Given that our inner experiences manifest across all dimensions of our existence, this approach involves working with the body while consciously acknowledging the psycho-emotional and spiritual facets of the person. This integration allows unresolved issues to surface and undergo transformation.
A primary objective of Conscious Alignment is to enhance the client’s body awareness, encompassing both subtle sensations and movement awareness. This serves to deepen the connection between the body and mind, resulting in a heightened state of mindfulness in one’s daily life.
In addition to addressing the fascia, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, we also engage with the body’s energetic system to promote increased connectivity, flow, and overall coherence.

Clients can opt for individual sessions or a series of ongoing sessions based on their specific needs.
